I have always had thick, wavy and a little bit curly hair.
Growing up, I battled with mountains of frizz and spit ends. I have often found myself almost tearing my hair out over how unmanageable it can be sometimes!
Over the years, I have tried so many different things to try to fix some of my hair’s issues. Gradually my hair has gotten better than it was! Recently, however, I discovered something new that has really improved my hair’s appearance and feel dramatically.
This recipe has transformed my hair.
It’s simple. It doesn’t take long to mix up. And it gives beautiful, shiny results. It’s also a 100 % natural and chemical free, which makes it even better!
What You’ll Need
- About 1 tablespoon of Coconut Milk
- About 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil.
- Enough hot water to make enough to cover your hair
Place the coconut milk and olive oil into a cup. Add hot water and stir the mixture together.
How You’ll Use it
- Massage the mixture into your hair. (I massage it into the scalp, roots, body and ends of my hair.)
- Leave it in for 5 + minutes to allow your hair to soak in the moisture and goodness of the mixture.
- Shampoo and condition as usual. Make sure you get all of the mixture washed out!
- Afterwards, allow your hair to air dry.
The Benefits
Since using this routine I have experienced some great benefits!
- My hair has more vitality and shine to it.
- My hair is more balanced, and I am able to wash it less!
- I have less frizz and my hair is smoother and more manageable than before.
- My hair is a lot healthier and in my case, it also curls up more easily.
- My hair requires less care overall: not as much styling or cutting as before.
Using this hair mask has helped my hair feel and look so much more beautiful than before. The fact that I can do it myself is just another bonus!

I have a long and thick hair . But recently i am facing a problem. Some of my hair has became so dry that they appear like they are made of plastic. How can i treat this?
I often use olive oil, coconut oil, honey and apple cider vinegar at home, mostly all of them together with some natural yogurt.
First I put all the oils and honey in the microwave for a little while and then I take the yogurt. I love that one.
And I also use the oils with eggs. I love having egg in my hair, it feels really healthy after.
I have used these since the summer when I cut my hair. I changed my shampoo and conditioner to faith in nature, which is ecological.
Guess what? I still have no split ends. I air dry my hair every time I shower, and I use no heat. I have naturally very straight hair. I don’t dye it anymore either, but I will soon. I never brush my hair while wet and I shower my hair with cold water.
Then I also sometimes rinse my hair with cold green tea. I’m very aware of what I do to my hair these days since I try to grow it long, and it works. I massage my scalp when I remember too. My hair is just as soft as a kitten.
Can I leave this in over night and will it harm my hair if I do?
I’m sure you could leave it over night, but just protect your bedding so it doesn’t get oil stains. I can’t think of any reason why it’d hurt your hair! 🙂
Is there any technique to color the hair in natural way i don’t know but i heard about the herb which was used to coloring the hair in ancient time, can anyone tell me.
Maybe you are thinking of Henna?
I am getting my hair colored tomorrow morning… would it be good to do this tonight?
I’ve had a package of coconut milk, opened, for 1 week now. It’s still good. Judging from what I googled, I think next time I’ll freeze it in ice cubes.

Will anyone be able to answer my above questions? I would love to try out the recipe, but I kind of need some answers 🙂 thanks 🙂
How long will the coconut milk last in the fridge? And will just any kind from the grocery store work?
Thanks!
Beth, I’ve contacted Alice. Hopefully she will stop by soon with some answers! I personally have kept coconut milk in the fridge for two weeks. I would think any kind would work, but Alice will know for sure. 🙂
Cool! And I actually have both of those things in the house! I soaked it in coconut oil yesterday and can’t get the grease out now 😉
