For most of the world, December is the month of wrapping gifts and putting them under beautiful trees. It’s just one way we show love to those that matter most to us. That’s what make giving gifts so much fun!
But here at Adornabelle, we want to inspire you to giving even better gifts–gifts that say “I love you”, not just to friends and family but to one of the millions around the world who have been trapped in the terrible web of slavery.
We know that buying fair trade isn’t always easy. It’s hard to know exactly what to buy and where to shop. But every little bit that we can do helps. As you are making your lists and checking them twice this Christmas season, we hope you’ll consider joining us in making some of our holiday purchases the kind that will make the season brighter for a girl somewhere else who is fighting for her freedom.

Pjs are sort of a Christmas tradition for a lot of people. But before you go out and buy the latest ones, check this out.

I bumped into Radiant Cosmetics about the time I started blogging with the Exodus Road Project. The idea of using something many put on daily to feel beautiful as a way to fight human trafficking really stuck with me. Adornabelle has been proud to feature them in our side bar for the past year.

The Mighty River Project
Of course, we can’t forget the Mighty River Project!
Back in the spring, they generously sponsored a giveaway on Adornabelle and Kristen shared some of the reasons why she loves supporting them. The Noon Day Collection
We asked on facebook a while ago what some of your favorite fair trade companies were. Several of you mentioned The Noon Day Collection.
With scarves, gloves, arm warmers, and even a cute apron (!), there are lots of ways you could share fair trade this Christmas by shopping their collections. The best part is how it impacts woman around the world.
Fair Trade is Growing
There are a growing number of small businesses and companies who are beginning to recognize the need for supporting and growing fair trade. It’s thrilling to me to see more and more people embracing and creating ways to fight slavery in this generation. And what they add to our wardrobes is a way to join the forces and make not just a fashion statement but a statement for freedom too!
